About the program

54 reasons’ Bail Support Services are designed to help young people meet bail conditions, avoid deeper involvement in the justice system and re-engage with work or learning.

We work closely with families, communities and other services to provide wraparound support that’s trauma-informed, culturally responsive and grounded in child rights. Whether it’s helping with transport, connecting to education, or just being someone to talk to - our teams are there.

We listen, we show up, and we help young people build the skills and confidence to move forward. Because every young person deserves a second chance, and someone who believes in them.

This program includes

We work collaboratively with young people to set goals and safety planning to build their confidence, independence and understand any underlying issues impacting their lives
Practical supports help the young person meet bail conditions, like school supplies, or safety or wellbeing upgrades at home
Young people are supported to develop long-term confidence and skills through mentoring and building their support networks in community
Workers coordinate with other services to ensure the young person has a network of specialist supports around them once they exit our service.
